Strengthen any existing frame structure by placing the bar brace in key positions that are most prone to stress, weight and sway caused by windy enviroments.
Tents-Canopy manufactures bar brace supports that help support framed structures of any kind. Natural elements such as rain, wind and snow can create stress on a canopy frame and increase the chances of collapse. On any canopy frame there are two main areas that are vulnerable to natural elements.
The first area in which the bar brace support can assist is at the point on a canopy frame where the leg meets the roof rafter. During heavy rain and snow, the added weight on top of the structure can weaken the fitting at the welded points. Placing a bar brace in these specific areas not only strengthens the roof of the canopy but also relieves stress on the welds.
The second vulnerable area in which the bar brace is effective is the top peak point where the two roof rafters meet. This is where the peaked roof of the canopy comes to its final point to form a peak shape. Placing a bar brace horizontally from one side of the canopy frame to the other greatly reduce the stress on the canopy tent. As heavy winds gust over the canopy, the portable structure will tend to sway back and forth and having a bar brace in key locations will substantially limit the sway.
Bar braces placed in the appropriate stress points will add longevity to the framed structure and limit the replacement cost due to damaged parts. Tents-Canopy offers different lengths and different clamp adapters for the bar brace supports that will fit most pipe diameters. Bar brace lengths include 3/4", 1”, 1-3/8”, 1-5/8” and 1-7/8”. At Tents-Canopy we are proud of our products and will continue to offer the customer all the necessary components to make your canopy the perfect outdoor structure.
